DealCatcher Adds Comparison Shopping

DealCatcher, an online service that provides access to online coupons, has added a new feature to its site that will make it a more flexible shopping tool.

DealCatcher's original feature is a bot that can search and find over 800 on-line coupons and more than 40,000 local coupons. This service is still available, though now it is augmented by a traditional price comparison tool.

The price comparison search engine is provided by PriceGrabber.com, another comparison site.

Like PriceGrabber, DealCatcher's new comparison section covers the usual line of hot online merchandise: books, videos, electronics--anything that can easily purchased and shipped online. It also makes use of PriceGrabber's Bottom Line Price tool.

The Bottom Line Price tool allows users to enter their home ZIP code address (or postal code in Mexico and Brazil), and will then calculate the sales tax and the shipping costs for every item you find in your search.

Including shipping and handling costs is often very illuminating, because the cheapest item on the list might not always be the cheapest when all is said and done.
