JOLT
|
The Java Object Library Toolbox (JOLT) is a collection of
Java applets for the interactive presentation and
manipulation of integrated scientific and engineering
data/information. The Presentation APplets (PAP in short)
can be easily integrated into HTML documents, and in many
cases, populated with data directly from the HTML
document. This mechanism of applet specification and data
population creates a pathway whereby data sets can be
updated and redisplayed, without the need to recompile a
program or manually regenerate an image.

Joule Programming Language
|
Technical manual for the Joule Programming Language is
intended to familiarize the reader with the concepts
underlying Joule, with Joule syntax, and with the
fundamentals of a Joule programming environment. The Joule
programming language is intended as a foundation for
distributed systems, providing support in the language for
many of the abstractions needed for network or
multiprocessor-based applications. The goal of Joule is to
provide the functionality required for distributed
computing, in a straightforward and secure environment.

JPython
|
A comprehensive JPython homepage covering FAQs, Downloads,
Applet Demos, Installation Notes, Documentation, Mailing
List, Bugs and Related Links - all covering JPython - an
implementation of the high-level, dynamic, object-oriented
language Python seamlessly integrated with the Java
platform and certified as 100% Pure Java. JPython is
freely available for both commercial and non-commercial
use and is distributed with source code. JPython is
complementary to Java and is especially suited for the
following tasks: Embedded Scripting, Interactive
Experimentation and Rapid Application Development.

Juice
|
Juice is a technology for distributing executable content
across the World Wide Web. Juice differs from Java(r) in
several important aspects that allow it to outperform Java
in many "downloadable Applets" applications. Juice is
intended to be a complement to Java, giving users a
choice: Java or Juice. The Juice Authoring Tool for
Windows is now available.

Ki
|
Ki is the name for an experimental agent architecture
designed by Etcee to solve a set of problems that
frequently occur in dynamic distributed applications. Ki
for JavaWorld is the name for an implementation of a
subset of the Ki architecture. Developed in conjunction
with a series of articles for JavaWorld magazine, Ki for
JavaWorld was built to be a clean, simple learning tool
for those seeking to learn more about agent technology.
The Java source code and compiled class files for Ki for
JavaWorld are available as both a zip file and as a gzip'd
tar file.

Knowledge Interchange Format
|
Knowledge Interchange Format (KIF) is a computer-oriented
language for the interchange of knowledge among disparate
programs. It has declarative semantics, it is logically
comprehensive and it provides for the representation of
knowledge about knowledge.
|
|
KQML
|
KQML or the Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language is a
language for exchanging information and knowledge. It is
part of a larger effort, the ARPA Knowledge Sharing Effort
which is aimed at developing techniques and methodology
for building large-scale knowledge bases which are
sharable and reusable. KQML is both a message format and a
message-handling protocol to support run-time knowledge
sharing among agents. KQML can be used as a language for
an application program to interact with an intelligent
system or for two or more intelligent systems to share
knowledge in support of cooperative problem solving.

KYMA-Atlantic(r) Intelligent Agent Platform
|
KYMa-Atlantis(r) is considered the definitive platform for
the development of intelligent agents and personal
assistants. Utilizing a robust and extensible
architecture, KYMA-Atlantis(r) allows developers to create
colleagues that help users define tasks and rules.
Further, KYMA-Atlantis(r) allows developers to create
mentors that can monitor and learn from a user's actions
and patterns.

LALO
|
LALO is an Agent Oriented Programming (AOP) language and a
framework for developing intelligent multiagents systems.
A program written in LALO is translated into C++ source
code, and then may be compiled with your regular C++
compiler. The agents are communicating with KQML
(Knowledge Query Manipulation Language).

LARKS
|
The Advertisement and Query Language (LARKS) Language for
Advertisement and Request for Knowledge Sharing had been
developed in the RETSINA Project at Carnegie Mellon
University. LARKS is an agent capability description
language that enables interoperability among heterogeneous
software agents on the Internet. The language as well as
the matchmaking process using LARKS offers several unique
advantageous and features.

Latte
|
Latte, the Language for Transforming Text, is a simple and
powerful language for including markup in text documents.
Documents written in Latte can be converted to
high-quality HTML, making it a better language for writing
World Wide Web documents. HTML, the language of the web,
has numerous serious shortcomings. Its own creator has
said that it was never meant to be seen by humans, let
alone written by them. HTML was meant to be generated,
with the actual editing taking place in WYSIWYG editors or
with high-level languages. Latte is one such higher-level
language.

Lava
|
Lava is a Java application that allows the user to
graphically design Java GUIs. It is known as the Java GUI
Builder.
|
|
libwww-ada95
|
libwww-ada95 is a library of Ada96 packages that will
eventually provide a simple and consistent programming
interface to the World Wide Web. This library is being
developed as a collaborative effort to assist the further
development of useful WWW clients and tools.
