The GA
Playground
The GA Playground is a general purpose genetic algorithm toolkit where the user can define and run his own optimization problems. The toolkit is implemented in the Java language, and requires (when used an application, in its full mode), a Java compiler and a very basic programming knowledge (just enough for coding a fitness function). Defining a problem consists of creating an Ascii definition file in a format similar to Windows Ini files, and modifying the fitness functions in the GaaFunction source file.
The Internet Scheme Repository An extremely comprehensive site offering resources, code, documents, utilities, links and extraneous stuff covering Scheme-related materials.
The Noos
Representation Language
Noos is a reflective object-centered representation language that supports modelling and implementing both problem solving methods and learning methods in an integrated, seamless way. Noos has been developed in the ANALOG Project and the Massive Memory Project.
The Mozart
Programming System
Mozart is an interactive distributed implementation of Oz. Mozart features include a programming interface based on GNU Emacs, interactive development tools, an object-oriented interface to Tcl/Tk, powerful interoperability features (sockets, C, C++), an incremental compiler, a garbage collector and support for stand-alone applications. Performance is competitive with commercial Prolog and Lisp systems. Mozart will be available for many Unix based platforms and for Windows 95/NT.
The Scripts Home A comprehensive resource for CGI scripts on the World Wide Web.
The VRML
Repository
The Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is a standard language for describing interactive 3-D objects and worlds delivered across the Internet. The VRML Repository is an impartial, comprehensive, community resource for the dissemination of information relating to VRML. Maintained by the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC).
Tree-Structured &
Rules Induction
Programs
A comprehensive resource and listing of decision trees classification and regression programs.
The Oz
Programming System
Oz is a high level programming language combining constraint inference with concurrency. Typical application areas of Oz include optimization problems like scheduling, time tabling, placement and configuration, reasoning and knowledge representation, processing of natural language, simulations, multi agent systems, and sophisticated graphical user interfaces.
VBScript Microsoft(r) Visual Basic(r) Scripting Edition, a subset of the Microsoft(r) Visual Basic(r) programming language, is a fast, portable, lightweight interpreter for use in World Wide Web browsers and other applications that use Microsoft(r) ActiveX(r) Controls, Automation servers, and Java applets.
VBScripts.com A comprehensive site dedicated to the latest information, happenings, downloads, and resource links concerning VBScript.
VIRT VIRT is a new universal object-oriented programming language. The main goal of the author is the creation of the expressive programming language with a minimal number of basic concepts. This language can be used as for numerical calculations and for knowledge processing as well with the same success.
Visual Basic Web Directory A comprehensive site offering one of the largest collections of Visual Basic resources on the Internet.
VRML The Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is the file format standard for 3D multimedia and shared virtual worlds on the Internet. Just as HyperText Markup Language (HTML) led to a population explosion on the Internet by implementing a graphical interface, VRML adds the next level of interaction, structured graphics, and extra dimensions (z and time) to the online experience. The applications of VRML are broad, ranging from prosaic business graphics to entertaining web page graphics, to manufacturing, scientific, entertainment, and educational applications, and of course to 3D shared virtual worlds and communities.
WADL The Web Applications Developers List (WADL) is a mailing list, IRC channel and web site devoted to providing the tools to allow serious software developers to help each other in the creation of sophisticated Web-based applications.
Wandering Man Wandering Man offers the hottest news from all corners of Java and WanderingMan. It also offers the most robust list of Java links that you can find on the Web. Excellent Java resource site for the language and code developer.
WAVE Language The WAVE Language technology is based on installing multiple copies of intelligent agents throughout the distributed systems which can do local data processing, exchange information with other subsystems and between themselves, as well as interpret a special navigational WAVE language.
