How is it possible to obtain a definition, an encyclopedic article or other key information with just one click of the mouse? One answer is to use AimingClick, an online information retrieval bot. It provides quick and easy access to multiple information sources.

AimingClick, developed by AimingTech, is very easy to download and use. To find a definition, translation or any other information about a word, just select the word, hit the short-cut keys and choose from the list of information sources that appears in a pop-up window.

The pre-configured information sources the publisher include search engines (Google, AltaVista…), dictionaries (Cambridge Online Dictionary, Word reference…), encyclopedia (Webopedia, MSN Encarta…) and news sites (BBC News, CNN…).

The key combination CTRL+F1 opens the interface and shows the list of available information sources. CTRL+F2 carries out the search on your preferred source, with Google being the default selection. Once the search has been launched, the results are displayed in a new browser window.

These keyboard short-cuts can be modified, just as the list of information sources. It is possible to add new sources and to specify which ones to use by default. This allows you to personalize AimingClick and to make it an ideal accompaniment to your online browsing. The helpful user's guide will help you quickly master AimingClick's intricacies. It is a neat tool for extending your browsing and dipping into the wealth of information on the Web.
